Country Farmer was established in February 2025 by Greg Leighton, a Bromyard-born farmer with a lifelong connection to agriculture and the local countryside. The business was created to serve the needs of farmers, smallholders, equestrian owners, and rural residents across the Three Counties, offering a trusted source for feeds, seeds and farm supplies.

About Greg
Greg grew up on his family’s mixed farm just outside Bromyard, which originally focused on beef, sheep, and arable farming. The farm has since diversified, entering a Mid-Tier Environmental Stewardship scheme and branching into marquee hire and property lettings. After attending Queen Elizabeth Humanities College and Hereford Sixth Form, Greg completed a BSc in Agriculture followed by an MSc in Agriculture and Development. His hands-on experience includes farming in Australia, travelling through New Zealand, and working with both Whittal Seeds and Estate Country Feeds. As owner and director, Greg brings a blend of academic knowledge, international perspective, and practical farming experience to the business.
Together, Greg and Ange are building a rural business grounded in community values, sustainability, and genuine expertise—making Country Farmer a go-to destination for quality supplies and sound guidance.
